E-Tea Presentation (April 2024): Invited Statistics Talk

Psychological science utilizes several research methodologies to collect data. One of those methodologies is correlational (i.e., individual differences) research where several measures are collected and associations among those data are considered. This type of data is often explored using latent variable modeling to determine the underlying latent structure of the correlations between variables. Additionally, a new approach called psychometric network analysis has begun to pick up steam. This presentation described the advantages/disadvantages of both statistical techniques before discussing whether they are alternatives or complementary in nature.
